Has anyone done this? I thought maybe the Scrambler type tank badge in place of the cheese grater. If a guy could, it might be sweet looking. Just saying. Anyone got a picture of something similar?

I suggest you try it in Photoshop first, just to get a feel for it.

I tell my students that I have 1,000 ideas a day. Only one is great. They laugh at me too.
I just wondered how the older badges might look instead of the graters.

Whoa, exactly which badges are the "graters"? There are Eyebrows, Garden Gates, and what comes as stock, I would call script. So are graters listed in there or are you referring to a 4th type?

I read it as perhaps bending the badges around the cheese graters. Correct?

perhaps Brent. I know the photo above with the side cover on it is tacky and ugly, but the best side shot I could find straight on. If you remove the air box and are left with the open side cover area, you might have to make a mount. Would be nice if you could rivet or JBWeld it to the cheese grater.

i think there is an idea there but then i would ditch the ones on the tank, having both seems to much to me.

You might be right about making the tank without logos. Maybe an airbrushed badge on the cover.

Are the badges even big enough to make a descent cover? Triumph on the tank and then right over the fake filters. To close and repetitive for me, but that's just my opinion.
