Much cooler than last year for sure, by about 20 degrees according to the weather report. Hopefully no rain. ArGee is going to meet up with me near lake Geneva, do you want to meet by your place again? or somewhere else?

My place would be okay. it looks quite different from last year.
Do you have to be at westby at a specific time?

You know, I'm not sure what time I need to be there. I'll contact Ruth, see if she can give the keys or whatever to Tattooman since he's almost local.
I was thinking I would leave here at about 8am, that would put me up by your place around 10:30ish?

How about meeting up for lunch at the Blue Spoon Creamery at 550 Waterstreet in Praire du Sac. It is right off if hwy 78 next to the river.
1-115 ish?

Just so everyone is aware there will be a large increase in motorcyle traffic in the area this weekend. S & S Cycle 55th Anniversary party is this weekend as well, with saturday rides from La Crosse to Viola (which is just SE of Westby) and rides down the river road from La Crosse. Shouldnt make a difference with the routes we have planned but thought I would send it out there.

Since we are throwing stuff out there. The cave of the mounds is in a state park so there is a per vehicle fee. Only $3 for WI plates but $10 for OOS plates.
I don't know how big a deal that is. If its a problem we can skip it and ride on to New Glarus.

Hey Scott, What time do you think you will be in the Lake Geneva area? I was going to just pull over just north of the Hwy 12 and Hwy 50 interchange (on 12) there and wait for you.

I was thinking of checking out the cave, but don't really care either way. We can just play it by ear. If its really hot it may be nice, or if its raining. I thought about checking out the s&s thing but didn't think there would be much interest. What do you guys think?

I went to the 50th Anniversary and there were some pretty cool custom bikes in the competition as well as parked on the street. Not sure if this one will draw the crowd that the last one did though. There must have been 15,000 bikes in town for the last one. I would be up for taking a ride in to check it out.

About an hour and a half. I plan to leave here at 8am. There are a couple gas stations on 50 just west of 12, that would probably be a good place to meet up. I think there is a Mobil station there, if that sounds good to you. By the way, did you get your tbird back yet?

Just thought I would throw it out there, but there is a 40% chance for rain on Thursday and 50% on Friday. So pack some rain gear. If this trip is like every other one I take, as long as I have raingear packed, bad weather will stay away!! I'll see you guys at lunch in Prairie du Sac.

Yeah I think so. No one seems to have any objections, so it should work out well. If someone who knows the area well can make improvements to the route, please feel free. Just be careful about how much length you add.

Saturday was the long one. Are we still headed to New Glarus via Potosi?? Between the tours and the cave stop, we may want to shorten that one up a bit.

Just my 2 cents but I am just requesting to leave the New Glarus Brewery on the route. I have never been there and have always wanted to go, looks like they have self guided tours available between 10a-4p daily. The Potosi Brewery Museum is open at 1030a-9p with a $5 entry fee and looks pretty cool, not sure how much time we are planning to stop at each place if some or all of us plan on going into the caves. And I am sure some of the guys from the Madison area would know better but I have been told there are a few good places to eat in New Glarus.

Just to add to the luck I went and bought some rain gear this morning. Usually don't wear any and just get wet.

I definitely want to go to new glarus also. I think we will be fine with what we have. If we're all tired and wet, and we want to skip potosi, we can, but again, I think we'll be ok.

I know that station, the Mobil will be fine. Got the bird back last night, took it for a shakedown cruise today to make sure it was all good. I'll see you in the morning, 9:30 at the Mobil.
