I pulled my headers and exhaust off because I'm going to have them ceramic coated. As I'm working on taking them off I'm covered in exhaust soot. My questions-is this an indication of lean/rich mixture? Should I be concerned? Should I look into changing something with the set up etc etc?

If it's dry soot it's otay, it's sortofa result of the fuel makeup - my diesel makes a bunch of it. Now if it's really black and greasy, that's another story. If Chy says it's normal, then it's normal.

Yes it's dry. I feel better now. I looked like a chimney sweep after taking them off. Thanks guys.

Lol. Thanks Wade. I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Maybe reassembly will go smoother and cleaner. Ha!

Nice soft hands and manicured nails are somewhat wissified to me, the mark of real and basal character are scars, callouluses, and yes..........black soot. Wear it with honor.
