Today is the last day for it in Minneapolis, and I am just wondering if it is worth the $5-10 Parking, $15 admission and $4 hot dog. Has anyone been to it in your city this year? Enough Triumph to make it worth the trip alone? Link to the show page

Seein' as how I always made the yearly show in Long Beach CA when I lived in the L.A. area, since we've moved to the motorcycle friendly state of Arizona a few years ago, I've always been kind of shocked that there's never been a Phoenix area stop of this traveling show.
(...I suppose my trip down down there next weeek to attend the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction will have to serve as some sort of a consolation prize)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My wife says, "Go, or we're going to see Les Miserables at the theatre." Putting on my boots now. 5°f and light snow in Minnesota right now. Perfect time to think about biking.

Mmmm, Jean Val Jean. Better than a 4.00 hot dog. Forget the bike show. Go see Les Mis.

Most of the bike shows I've seen are just a big forum for Harleyish stuff and vendors of Pakistani leather crap and doo rags from China.
This here forum is WAY better than a Motorsickle Show.
Now go buy a DVD of Les Mis with Liam Neeson, Geoffrey Rush and Claire Daines. Mmmmmm. Wow. Better than bubble wrap.

The one in Toronto was worth the $18 admission, the 7 hour drive one way, 2 nights in a hotel, taking the wife out to dinner twice and the 7 hour drive back..... She dropped me off at 10:00 am and picked me up at 5:00 pm. The only thing I purchased was a pair of Bristol leather riding gloves. The deals were very good. A set of Metzler 880s for $330 taxes in was quoted to me (good Canadian price). Amsoil for $10.00/liter taxes in. Better than $20/liter at Canadian Tire....

I never got that feeling while attending the "Cycle World" sponsored Long Beach shows, Wade. There was always a wide spectrum of motorcycle "types" there because almost every motorcycle manufacturer in the world(and not just H-D) had nicely done exhibits of their latest products on show.

Well, THAT'S 'cause we're just spoiled.

Never saw that version. I've only ever watched the 1935 version with Fredric March and Charles Laughton, and the 1952 version with Michael("Klaatu barada nikto" )Rennie and Robert Newton.

I was out to the ottawa show today. I'm surprised it was on so many cities on the same weekend.
There were a bunch of vendors with clothes etc, and local mc dealers but the best display was from the local vintage motorcycle group with a good 20 bikes shined up and gently seeping.
