Saw Zep on their final tour. I think it was in '76. They played for 3 1/2 hours with no opening act.

Ditto on the post! I'd heard about the awards show after it was already over, bummer. I didn't think to find it online. Thanks. Enjoyed the whole show. (Well, except for that cold ballerina b.) Funny stuff on Letterman. Led Zep stuff was awesome!

There's an all girl band that plays mostly Zep tunes, they're actually pretty good. I can't remember their name.

I saw earlier today. The performance was great, but what was really nice is how much THEY enjoyed it. They had freakin tears in their eyes. Beautiful response to an equally beautiful performance.

That was great!! I have always liked Dread Zeppelin's version of Led Zeppelin's songs. Even Robert Plant considers Dread Zeppelin the best cover band. Stairway to HeavenThis is a link to the whole Kennedy Center show for Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin honor at the Kennedy Center

+1 On that and Jason Bonham was the drummer. That will forever stand out as one of the best performances live on a TV. Glad I saw it first time around and thanks for posting.

Funny nobody has mentioned the buddy guy tribute. That was awsome I mean hart and beck together ...Wow and chapman and raitt how cool was that. Don't get me wrong the zep tribute was great but if it hadn't been for guys like buddy there may never have been a zep. Just wanted to let some of you who may have missed the show to check the buddy guy tribute, you can find it on you tube and it is well worth looksee.
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

and if there hadn't been a Robert Johnson there might not have been a man like Buddy Guy.
the beautiful thing about Heart's rendition of StH was that it was a magnificent tribute rather than them doing a note to note cover.
