Saw them advertising on TV so I looked at the website.
Whoah! If you sign up and bid you have to buy a bid package. When you bid and win your have to pay separate charges on top of of it like handling and shipping.
The wild part if I read it right. If you lose they keep your money.
So lets say an item goes for 100 bucks and they had 10 bids totally 400 bucks. They keep it all and send it to the guy that bid 100.
This has got to be the biggest legal internet scam I have ever seen.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Saw that web site a year or so ago. My understanding at the time was that quibids charges for each bid. The purchase price goes up by something like $0.01 to $0.10 with each bid. I didn't look into who gets the money for each bid. I had assumed that it was somehow spit between the seller and quibids (not the highest bidder). There is a defined set of rules wherein someone gets a bargain on the item but that is subsidized by all the other bidders. It puts a little more gamble into the process but as long as you are willing to accept that risk (and I am not) then is seems like a valid process.
