Yep, it's that time again, isn't it Bill.

Well, right now I'm lookin' at the 2013 Sedona-based Southwest Triumph Fest happenin' Friday May 31st to Sunday June 2nd.

I'm also thinkin' it might be time to head back to the Grand Canyon again on the big Saturday ride, which from Sedona should be about 3 hours shorter in duration than it was when we started out from Prescott some 4 or 5 years ago.

I'll start the "official" SWTF this coming week.

where'd you get that idea?

I was looking over my itinerary for my return ride back from CA and I'll be rolling I40 E thru Flagstaff,AZ @around 11:00am - 12:00pm, en route from Needles, CA to Grants, NM on 5/26 (if not otherwise delayed). It'd be to meet you BA mems in the SW while I was traveling. I have ta be back in KC,MO by 6/2 (vacation over ya know & back to work that Monday)

Do ya think there might be any way to maybe extend your vacation for a day or two longer, so you can show up for at least over Friday night here in Sedona?

OH! I forgot, one of my return trip stops was to overnight camp @ the S Rim of the Grand Canyon. When were you thinking about the SW rally group taking the day's ride that way???

At this time I'm thinkin' the group will be at the South Rim by about noon on that Saturday June 1st, Karl.

And yep, appreciate ya keepin' me posted as to our possibly workin' somethin' out here.

Dwight, I ran the news past my Boss & he seemed okay with me taking a couple of extra days with the stipulation that our End of Quarter Cycle count & receiving were completed & reconciled on time at the end of June (really this is a non-issue as I already have an extra 2 day factored into the schedule)

So, it looks like I'm good to go from 5/18 through 6/4 & will be able to roll into Sedona on the 30th or 31st to meet you all & ride to the Grand Canyon with ya too!

Logistically, I figger I'll roll outta San Simeon, Ca on the 28th to Needles, CA & overnight.

Then from Needles,CA on the 29th, I have the option of hanging there for an extra night or motoring toward Sedona, AZ.

OR....If I can locate a primitive campsight near Sedona that has potable H2O I'll camp for the night of the 29th/30th and check out the local sights (? any recommendations)

OR.... on the 29th/30th roll into Sedona,AZ get a motel (any bed buggers there? ), and meet up with you all on the 31st at your location for the SW rally.

If I can overnight with ya'll @ low $$$ on the 31st, I'll be riding with you to the Grand Canyon & will overnight camp there & continue my ride East the morning of the 6/1.

Any suggested spots I should visit / camp at on my route to Sedona????

You'd be welcome to throw your bedroll down in the house here in Sedona the night of the 30th and then throughout the weekend if you'd like.

Dwight, Thanks for the invite to stay with ya on 5/30. Very cool & saves me a wad o' $$$. I'll be stayin in Vegas overnight on 5/29 with another bikin Bud from FB....Dean Speer (also very & he owns a BA too)& will roll into Sedona on 5/30.

I won't be able to hang out with the SW gang over the entire weekend tho, but will be along for the ride to the Grand Canyon. I plan to hang there & explore some, overnight & then it'll be back on the road East again on 6/1.

Tell Dean he needs to come to Sedona with you!!! He made it for the SWTF a few years ago, and would be nice to see him again!
