http://youtu.be/I6rIJAO01XAI have performed a video borescope of my 2008 Triumph Speedmaster TOR exhaust. A long time ago I read somewhere saying the removal of O2 sensors or SAI (don't remember which) could force clogging of the pre-cats. Well, I do not believe this can happen, but anyway it is obvious none are installed in my stock headers. As you can see, after the muffler, when entering the header, the first hole is the duct that connects to the other header. Then a view of the plug I installed where the O2 sensor used to be, and finally the exhaust valves with the tiny hole for the SAI. Note the change in colour in the valve in front of the SAI hole due temperature difference

Hello Pablo, Now that was interesting. Thanks for the Speedmaster colonoscopy. Looks like the exhaust valve seals are in good shape on that particular cylinder. A bore scope is an excellent device to have in the old tool box.

those bore scopes are great for checking to see how well your carbs, intake manifolds and head port all match up. take off the air filters and thread the scope in. The one I have will fit into a 10mm hole so it goes right down the spark plug holes as well. You can check out whether you valves and pistons are being burnt or carboned up, or what ever. very cool technology.

Yeah, cool video alright! Though, while I don't want to alarm ya here, I THINK at the 1:06 mark I saw two polyps. (...and so ya MIGHT wanna consider havin' that checked out by a professional very very soon!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
