I woke up this morning being malled by my two boys: it was time to get up and see what Santa left behind.
I went for my camera and saw the sight on my lad's faces
I got frustrated figuring out how to put toys together and smiled as my boys rushed to me sharing with their delight
The presents were through and I was picking up paper, arranging the fragmented clusters of excitement.
The youngest was sleeping and the oldest was looking at a book.
My wife was in the kitchen baking a ham with all the trimmings and I was thankful I was home where I should be.
I then said a silent thank you to my associates, friends and neighbor who couldn't be here.
Their families making the best of it and sacrificing as they always do - living the ideal of better to give than to receive.
I wanted to have them remembered today of all days. Merry Christmas.
