Has always puzzled me why this is done. Ran into the guy that bought my o3 America a few months back and had fitted it. Looked bloody ugly to say the least!!! Aside from reducing the amount of heat that your legs are exposed to and making the bike look ugly does it make any worthwhile difference? From what I have read unless used in conjunction with heaps of other performance mods it is a waste of time!!!!
I'm aware of the alleged performance values, but in my opinion, it's just a look, like matte finishes, white walls, flat black finishes, faux patina,ceramic coatings, etc.
No one size fits all.
