It’s too cold and I don’t want to go to the store or out for dinner so I’m going to have pancakes for dinner!! I’ll have to notify the fire department first so they can be on call.
Wish me luck!

"FIRE Department"?!!! Well, just leave the napalm out of the pancake batter, and I'm pretty sure the fire department can rest easy then, Cyn.

OH! So Cyn's THAT close to Adairville, HUH?!
Never COULD tell, what with that vague location detail in her bio!
Better get the boys right over there then, JR.
(...just be sure to stay away from them there napalm pancakes!)

Pancakes for dinner is a bit of a tradition in our house. Of course butter and syrup, or jam is the usual way. But they go well with chili or stew or beans too.
Haven't used premix for a long time.
2X4 Pancakes:
2 cups flour 2 cups milk 4 eggs 4 tbsp butter 4 tsp baking powder 4 tsp sugar
pinch of salt (optional)
Of course this makes a lot of pancakes, but can be reduced, or extras frozen for the toaster.
Contra todo mal, mezcal; contra todo bien, también

We have breakfast for dinner often. Tonight, in fact, it was Chicken Fried Steak and Scrambled Eggs. But Bill, this is a first for me hearing of Chili, Stew, or Bean pancakes . Interesting, to say the least.

I prefer waffles, but we do "breakfast" for dinner often.

Stupid question. Are banana pancakes just pancakes with bananas sliced over them or are they cooked into the pancake?

All you have to do is slice a banana or two and then put them on the pancake as soon as you pour the badder on to your pan. I always go for maximum allowable banana per pancake The sweetness of the banana with the badder and maple syrup and then finish it off by making sure there is plenty of BACON!

Say! If you'd spread a little peanut butter on this concoction when served, would that then be "Elvis pancakes"?
(...hey, jus' askin', thank you, thank you very much!)

Bacon??? I'm risking life and limb trying to manage pancakes and now you all are suggesting I try to cook fatty (refer back to napalm Dwight mentioned earlier) slabs of meat too?? My medical insurance deductibles are just too high for me to risk 3rd degree burns!! Now, if I lived in Canada I'd be a real kitchen daredevil!!

Nah, replace the bananananas with grated cheese (preferably chedder, but not that squirty stuff) and then you're talking with bacon

You would have to fry it in a stick of butter with your pancakes being the sandwich and in the middle of it is the banana and peanut butter hence....the Elvis Monte Cristo...thank YOU very much

The Fruit has to be cooked into the pancake as far as I'm concerned, for it to be banana, or my favorite blackberries. My wife and I are always trying to out do each other with pancakes and waffles. Some of the hits have been: Banana and walnuts Blackberry or Marionberry Pear with Vanilla Toasted Coconut with chocolate chips and waffles with bacon cooked right in. mmmmm....

Yeah, Mark?! Well, being the effete and snobbish world traveler that I am, MY favorite has always been the International Passport Breakfast with those...MMMmmm...German-style lemon crapes!!!
