Has anyone purchased one of the rear disc rotors they are selling from China? The price is 50% of the local after market landed at my door. I hear that a lot of the brake products are sourced from China in the first instance and repackaged. As the rear only does about 20% of the braking anyway thought I may go with one and stick with the OEM up front. All feedback appreciated.

I would do it, we have 2 separate brake systems that completely independent.I have used tons of rotors from China on cars with no issue.I have tires from China on my Jeep right now that excellent quality, quiet, wearing well, and smooth.

Since China buys all our steel and concrete, and their engineering today is top rate, HELL YES I'd try one! For safety concerns, the LAST thing that will ever cause catastrophic brake failure would be that steel rotor.(NOT saying it's not POSSIBLE) No "number 1" has ever stayed number one since the beginning of time. (with the possible exception of J.C.) Except for John Prine.
And you may see me tonight

The choice is yours but I have found that each country has it's good quality and poor quality products. China's quality products are just copies of top quality international patents. As much as we like to believe some of our North American products are not the world class. I'm a Canadian and have bought many Top rated US products which have been invented in Canada, being produced in Canada, but sold in the US market due to it's size. Everything actually stems back to WWII when the allies won the war and just casually gave all the German scientists ammunity if they did our bidding. Hence the space program and the leaps in technology. Don't get me wrong my heritage is far from German but give the Devil his due's. And it seems that everything has progressed from that point on. I'm 56 and have seen the competition in the world economy lead to both poor and excellent products produced world wide.

Just type in rear disc rotor triumph america Richard or suchlike in e bay. The iso grip copies I got and the clutch and brake levers from China I could not fault so going to give it a shot. The way I see it 90% of the frozen vegetables I am buying from the supermarket come from China (sad but true) so may as well go the whole hog. Even the ones branded as NZ are bought in the back door through the free trade agreement. As I only work part time and casual these days a saving of 50% on items such as these is not to be sneezed at. Will post on quality and fitment when I receive.
