Hi-
I have a 2003 Speedmaster with about 10k miles on it...and I noticed about a teaspoon of oil under the bike in the garage. It appears to be coming from a module that has a wire going to it behind the oil filter under the bike. I believe that this is the neutral safety switch...can someone here confirm my suspicion? Is there anything I should know about changing this unit...or is there a fix that doesn't require removal/replacement?

Thanks for any info you can provide...

Rob

Replaced mine at around 40k as it was marking her spot. Straight forward job.

It's not speeding till you get pulled over.

Thanks Moe...I tried searching the forum, but it seems that there is a 3 year limit...and this link goes back back farther than that. Super helpful though, and I'm due for an oil change anyway.

Time to call the dealer and order it...

Thanks Moe...you know, I looked right at that on Bike Bandit about an hour ago and didn't see the switch...must be going blind in my old age.

I was thinking the dealer might get it a little quicker...what do you think?

No F$#$ing way!

Took me a while to find it as well Rob. Control and Brake Section? Then under gear change pedal section? Dang that was hard to find. Okay I didn't find it that way. Instead, I googled "triumph america neutral switch" and found the Triumph part number on the www.worldoftriumph.com site. Used that to search the bandit with. Reverse searches come in handy.
