So the leak is fixed and just drove it about 50+ miles. Im out about 200 in parts and labor and 190 in a tap and die set and tools.

Lessons Learned:

When reattaching a line make sure the weight of the line dosent cause the bolt to go in cross threaded. I think this caused the problem.

Luckily i quit when I was only a little behind. And my attempt with the die didnt do irreperable harm but if i had insisted i could have dorked the head completely up.

Thanks for the encouragemnt and help guys. And thanks in advance when i screw something else up.

Been watching this thread with interest. Some frustrating stuff here, but you got good advice, which is the default for this site. And a $400 fix on a modern cycle is cheap. Glad you got it working. Now have some fun while you can!
