After my recent drop off stand I decided a set of front crash bars may be the way to go. Dealer had a bar in stock missing the 2 spacers for the bottom mounts and bolts but would discount. Got them down to 150 bucks and thought for once the gods may have been smiling on me! Top mounting with the existing 4 bolts fine but no bloody way the bottom would line up. The nuts are welded in to the brackets on the footrest supports so the option of using bolts and nuts to pull into line was not possible. Would have cracked the welds on bar for sure anyway. Phoned them back and told me would give me a credit for another purchase but no refund. Dodgy buggers!!! Bet it had been returned by previous customer for the alignment issue and they had been given a credit etc. Decided to keep them anyway as stable with the 4 mounts at top. On another note the colored clutch and brake lever set I got from Hong Kong for thirty bucks fitted perfectly. Price from dealer for the OE clutch lever was 40 bucks alone. Some of the aftermarket people have got it right and good luck to them. Used to expect to have to modify etc but not so now. Anyone else have a issue with them or did I get the late Friday afternoon set?

If bottom holes had lined up Keith would have been a ten minute job. I was stone cold sober too-maybe that was the problem??

If you do buy the clutch/brake lever set they come with a 6 position option instead of the 4. On the clutch side the bike will not start if in two of the positions as new lever does not engage the switch to activate ignition system. Think of it as a auxiliary theft device. Who would think of altering the clutch lever to start the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!! Works fine in the other 4 positions
