Since so many of you are mechanically savvy, I thought of asking...
I am setting up an automatic water sprinklers system in my backyard, but I realised that my water pressure is not strong enough to reach the last couple of sprinklers at the end of the circuit.
What kind of pump should I get?
Thanks for the input!

You can use a jet pump to boost water pressure.

Or set up more stations. That is, fewer heads per station. Perhaps the last couple have their own valve and line.

Just lay out the system on paper first get the GPM's of each type of head then you'll know how many zones and how many heads per zone. You also hafta lay out the coverage per head and overlap and ect. ect. ect. Most times you need at least 50 PSI, but then again it's all subjective to the type and number of heads and zones.
We used to lay out those aggravatin' things when I was drilling wells.

Ya need to start with larger diameter main line.
Run a main of 3/4 or 1". The longer the run, the larger the I.D.(bigger I.D. = more flow)
Tap off of that with the smaller diameters.
I run my system at 30 psi. The longest run i have is about 100 feet of pipe. 90 degree elbows loose flow too(20-30 percent?) Soft turns are your friend.
If ya add a booster pump, you might as well tap into the supply coming out of the wall. You can then have the whole house at 70-80 psi, and showers will take less time then. And a slight(10-20 bucks) increase in the electicity bill.

Thanks for the info.
There is some kind of pump available locally, it has a mini tank on top of the pump. Not sure if it is indeed a "jet pump".
My setup is typical around where I live. Every house has a water tank on the roof. City water is fed into the roof tank, and then comes down by gravity to my 3-floor house. So, 3rd floor gets the smallest pressure and ground level gets the best. Still not enough to feed my sprinklers.

Sort of like my house, I have a city water tower next door. We installed a pressure restrictor.
