Talking to Island bum Benny last weekend he mentioned that it was well over a year since we had the Ozbam meet. Anyone that attended the last one interested or members that have since joined. Mainly riders from NSW and Qld last time. Venue if held will be around the NSW-Queensland border area. Anyone interested please send a pm.

How about Russel Crows pub at Nymboida where Kent and I stayed on the last OZBASM ? It's a bit closer yet close to Waterfall Way for some good mountain twisties. Or even do a loop from Nymboida, Waterfall Way and back via Oxley Way and Armidale for a big day trip once we've all met at Nymboida?

Jo & I will be lounging around a pool in Bali drinking Bintang for the last 2 weeks of March so that's out.

It's really hard being a pensioner and managing to fill in our time.

february is out we're off to Esperance for a ride so some where between the Z owners rally in March and the Ruptured Budgie in May would suit me and it wont be too cold that time of the year

It's just a suggestion cos Kent and i thought it may be good venue when we were there last time. But it's the only place I know closer to the border than Benny's suggestion so that's all I could come with off the top of my head. It is about 40 kms from Grafton which is the nearest shops and petrol. But it has a great atmosphere, the motel rooms are 3-4 star and they overlook the river. The room rates are reasonable and they were OK with bike groups staying when we spoke to them. It has a nice economical restaurant and bar with a great rustic atmosphere and Russels museum.

I'm planning a trip to Dubbo for Easter next year.
I still have the Speedmistress but recently bought an ST 1100 Honda ex cop bike for winter and longer trips

Sounds like the first 2 weekends in March are the go with Namboidia as the venue. Buckers has expressed interest as well. Leaves us the weekend of the 2nd or ninth. Hard to work around the agendas of globetrotters like Frank and adventure seeking individuals such as Island bum Benny-only jealous! Anyone got a preference as to the date as suits me for both. Would see that it will be our individual responsibility to arrange accommodation but if approached with a group booking we may be able to get some discount. Benny loves this joint as it is still legal to be seen in flannelette pajamas in the morning!!!!

The connondale run has just been posted for the 9th March 2013 so I and probably Island bum Benny will be out for that weekend. Have given Nymbodia some thought and it is isolated. After the 650k ride there I would be taking it easy on the Sat before riding home Sunday. Would much prefer Tweed Heads where there is a choice of things to do and access to RSL club etc. If it extends into April I,m afraid I will have to be counted out as the weather down south is getting a tad cold for a Bribie Islander by then.

Tweed Heads would suit me down to the ground.

It will still be a 500 Klm. trip for me anyway.

Not a run for me and a city has little appeal but I'm happy to meet for a day trip.

On the other hand how about another date entirely seeing as how Benny and Kent want to do Connondale? How about April, May or September, October?

I could do Tweed heads.I'll be out of the country from 28th Dec.Until March next year but April-May would work.We could hook up at Nerang,or somewhere then to to the Tweed,or where ever else may be decided.Northern NSW has a lot of nice spots.
