Hey all!
I have a 04 speedmaster (790cc) with a British Customs bomber peformace package installed. I am running 136 mains and 42 pilot jet (still have to check what the screw is set at). Any of you running the same package and if so what jetting combination are you running?
I purchased the bike secondhand and it originally came from Denver, Colorado and now lives in Canada at an altitude of 1500 feet. It runs really well in the top and midrange but seems to want alot of choke on cold for long periods of time and also has some popping when you roll off the throttle.
I cannot find these pipes on dinqua's calculator, british customs reccomends a 135 or 140 main with a 42 pilot and 2.5 turns on the air screw. I am just finding this information odd because any of the aftermarket pipes on dinqua's calculator require at least a 155 main.

i would think you are running lean. refer to the thread 4000-5000, for a way to check how your jetting is.

I doubt they are 136 mains; did you personally check & confirm the size?
Also the pilot screw regulates fuel, not air.

not sure if that package runs pods? if so i am running Bubs, pods and i am at 154 mains, factory slow jet (42) and three turns out. (Edmonton)

Yes, Pulled out them out myself and clearly read 136 on the main and 42 on the slow running jet. Oddly enough I got in touch with the help desk at british customs and that is the recomended jet size. His only suggestion was to maybe go one size up on the slow running jet.

To my knowledge, Keihin doesn't offer a 136 main jet for the main jet model # 99101-393 series, & never did...are there any other markings or engravings on the jet?

Could you elaborate what the Bomber Package includes? Are you still running the air box or did the package replace it with pod type air filters? If you are running the pods, you are probably lean. If not, you should be ok but your idle or pilot mixture adjustment screws might need to be richened. You probably will need to shim your needles also or switch to TBS needles.
I'm running (here's the script) a standard airbox with no snorkels, a Uni air filter and an opened up filter retainer plate. On the exhaust, straight through long TORs. I currently have 135 mains, 42 pilots, TBS needles and the idle/pilot mixture screws are out almost 3 turns. Bike runs extremely well with the plugs a little tan in colour.
Another idea to get rid of the popping on decal is to disconnect the TPS sensor on the carb. Don't remove it from the carb, just unplug it (easier said than done). This has been done by dozens of the gang with no ill effects.

136 is a DynoJet which is equivalent to a 148 keihin.
