Nice. What's the plan? Will you be able to data log on your laptop while you ride? What's the gauge worth?

The MTX-L is an integrated controller & gauge package. It's pretty slick.
Once you go AFM there is no going back.

Wouldn't it be better to weld the bung into the header before the crossover? Do not take this as a statement, I really don't know just wondering. At the dyno the sniffer goes past the crossover as far up the header as possible. I would think you wouldn't get a good idea on the exhaust gas for either side in the crossover.

If I had an old set of headers and the cash for the sensor and gauge I would be tempted to weld a bung in the crossover and one in each header before the crossover and compare on the same bike by moving the sensor to both locations to see what if any difference there is.Again not saying there is but would be an interesting experiment.

Agreed.
IMO the crossover is a good location for a permanent install & individual bungs in each head pipe are better for ultimate tuning or temporary install.
IMO both of the above configurations are "better" than a dyno sniffer probe shoved up the exhaust pipe.

Dammit Grz! I've already spent too much on this years mods and now you go dangling shiny new toys in front of me.
What's the diff between the MTX-L and the DB gauge with LCD-1 kit? Be gentle, I'm on a steep learning curve.

I couldn't resist ... just ordered the MTX-L and 12mm to 18mm adapter and I am now fabbing up a SS mounting bracket beside the speedo. I read Ventura's 20 page post on ratsnest and decided it was a must-have especially now the Breathe is installed and I don't know what it's done to my a/f.

Put anymore accessories on that America Richard and you'll need a 350 Chev. to get it off the line.

I was just thinking today that I could probably get the best performance upgrade ever by taking everything off!

I wonder ,
Would removing 300 pounds of weight be equal adding 30 H.P.???
(it would CERTAINLY add to the "handling" department!)

And you may see me tonight

Erle, I am working on the waistline (if I understand you correctly ) And I am losing weight but in a very modest amount. Still , it equates to a loss of about 4% and, if one hp equals 10lbs (your equation), then I have gained 0.8hp.

That's very cool Grz. I hope to have mine installed next weekend. You mix at idle seems OK. Why didn't you give it some more revs?
