While up from central Florida visiting my son in Chicago this weekend, I happened upon a welcomed sight. I left Florida on Thursday evening and the temps were still in the high 70's and we were walking in Chicago Friday night in the low 40's. I was feeling pretty chilly especially with the wind when we turned on Buckingham St. And there at the curb was a black America (the fastest ones) very similar to mine. My spirits were immediately lifted. As much as I wanted my bike to ride at that very moment, I knew it was not to be. Cold weather riding makes my head hurt.
I salute you, all my cold weather brethren!

Yep Michael, I know the feeling well. Whenever I'm in another city some distance from my own and I spot that rare Triumph motorcycle, I also feel a little like I've just ran into an old friend in some far-off land.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I thought they only had Triumphs in Asheville.
What else is there that I don't know?

No apes or whitewalls. It was mostly stock with short slip ons, gunfighter seat and aftermarket grips. I only saw one other Triumph yesterday, a T100, but it was pretty chilly. I did see a couple of blokes on a sportster who looked very friendly (wink, wink). The sun is out today so there may be some more activity.
