You buy and ride a Triumph...check earned that one...you become a member of BA.com... check earned that one...you become a member of rat pack...earned that one...the others look like yearly membership patches or possibly event attandance patches...check earned those...you pay someone your hard earned cash to custom create a one-off...yup earned that too....looks like they're all earned...and they look good!

Looks good!! I like the "triumph parking only" sign. Where did you get that with a BA on it?
Don't listen to the nay-sayers, the patches look great.

That would be Union Jack would it not? Don't be getting into all that French carry on again. Cross looks cool, like a Shamrock (four leaf clover), that has to be good luck

Does one have to ride his/her bike to the Triumph factory to earn a Triumph patch in your little world? I don't think I could strap enough water wings to my bike to make it across the Atlantic. But then again, the only patch I have is my BA.com patch. Guess I better ride to Evansville, IN, to be worthy.
You probably ought not hang around here. I'm sure the vast majority of patches worn by members of this site weren't "earned" by whatever standard you seemed to have set. Associating yourself with us might impugn your integrity too much.

Hey Thomas I've no doubt got the wrong end of the stick here but you seem to have a bee in your bonnet about anyone who wears patches they haven't 'earned'.
You started on Soren for his patches which are pretty ordinary patches. He has a Triumph so he has a couple of Triumph patches. He's in RAT so he has RAT patches. He's a member of the site so he has a site patch.
I've obviously missed your point about him earning them. Most guys won't wear a shirt for an event they didn't attend - I can see that. I just don't see why you seemed to have a pop at Soren is all. Looks like I'd better remove my Triumph Owners Club patch as I'm only a payed-up member of the club.
I'm not bustin' on ya, I just don't get why you have such a problem!

I wasn't actually jumping on Soren, didn't even really look at who posted it. Just the brand new all colorfull outfit. I got a lot of harley dealers around here, Milw. I think the whole HOG thing is a joke/silly also. You see it everywhere. Brand new bikers with shiny leather with 10lbs of pins and patches. Then you meet the old hands once and a while, every patch and pin has a story ...

Hey Tom.... One sunday afternoon a few year ago while returning back to my home in the L.A. basin from Willow Springs Raceways in Palmdale on Interstate 14, I got caught by these tremendous crosswinds which had me STRAINING to stay on the road all the while being PELTED my tons of sand and at the same time DODGING one tumbleweed after another that were being propelled across that stretch of desolate highway! My question.......Should I remove the "Desert Storm" patch from my jacket? Cheers, Dwight (just kiddin'...I couldn't resist)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Thanx! I had the sign made. I sent an online sign shop the graphic and they made it up for me. Not exactly what I sent them, but pretty close. I cant seem to find the original graphic I sent them.

Yes, that is true. That is how it originated. Many armies, organizations and groups have used it for awards and symbols of valor throughout time in many variations.

Rob...You got it buddy! I sometimes ride to this place called the "Red Car Brewery" in Torrance CA, where Bob the owner(has a very nice old "Toaster-Tank" Beemer) makes the best Porter or lighter Ales, you'll ever taste! And the food is great too. Next time you're out this way........ Cheers, Dwight

Yeah, I agree with ya Tom. One thing though , Doesn't everything have to be new at some time? If you're advocating buying faded patches and tarnished pins, then you're advocating exactly the kind of fakery and posing that you are condemning . Not bustin' on ya' dude, but I don't buy a new jacket and drag it behind my truck to beat it up before I wear it, the creases and scars are earned through use, but it has to start out new. Again, if your stuff starts out with a history, then that's posing and fakery.
As to the Onion Jack: Since Brother Soren lives in the great North-wet, it stands to reason that it would be a Walla Walla

Military patches SHOULD be earned (obviously Dwight was joking*). But motorcycle patches? Who gives a flying ******? I think most people can tell if someone who has a bunch of travel patches is full of it or not. They're just bikes, man. * Dwight's the kind of joker who will poke a stick at a pitbull through the fence, not realizing that 30 feet away the gate's open...

Hey Celt - you having a go? Dw i'n siwr o fod yn fwy Celtaidd na byddwch chi byth. (I'm probably more Celtic than you'll ever be).
Formee pattee smormee pattee (is that French spit BTW?) Maybe but still think it's also a symbol of a four leafed Shamrock, so it is
