Knoxville’s getting a “new” Fiat and Alfa Romeo Dealership. There’s an old saying, what goes around comes around. I Feel like I’m going back to the future, now where is ole Doc Brown and my Delorean.

That's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure the Fiat 500 is shorter than your America!

There are a lot of those Fiats running around here now, the hipsters seem to dig them. I would rather have a Mini

I've test driven the Abarth a couple times. Fun car, but I don't think I could own one, I start to feel cramped up after about an hour.
The length of an America is 95.3 inches, the Abarth is quite a bit longer at 144.4 inches. It does have a 90.6" wheelbase vs 65.2" on the America.
Alfa Romeo should have their cars back in the U.S. by the end of 2013 with the 4C and Giulia.
The new Dodge Dart is based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform. The 2014 Giulia will be a Alfa Romeo's rendition of the Dodge Dart.
I've test driven the new Dodge Dart several times, I think it will be my next car. I waiting for the RT version to make an appearance in January. It is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. The Dart RT will have a 2.4 liter MultiAir II motor vs the 1.4 liter turbo that most of the other trim level of Darts have. The 1.4 liter turbo is the exact same motor that is in the Fiat 500 Abarth.

Three of my early car purchases were Fiats, such as these here: 1969 124 Sport Coupe 1974 X1/9 1977 124 Spider And I have to say contrary to the old joke that Fiat stands for "Fix It Again Tony", I found my Fiats were pretty darn reliable. (...nice to see 'em back in The States)

Gotta love Alfas. According to (the proper) Top Gear, you're not a petrol head (gear head for you 'Mericans) until you've owned an Alfa. Guess I'm a petrol head then! Mine was a boggo standard 164 (2.litre twin spark) in BRG. Pininfarina designed but I think they only had straight rulers on THAT day in the office The car they designed before the 164 was the Testarossa. Mine was surprisingly reliable for an older I-talian car. Massive boot (trunk) as I remember. Plenty of room for a couple of bodies without the need to take the heads off first. Galvanised body so none of the body rot of the old Alfasud. I was looking at getting one again not long ago. Strangely, all I seemed to be drawn to were the 3.0l V6 .

Yep, but then again that whole wedge/straight line design was all the rage back then as you know. And now it seems Cadillac is bringing it back into vogue.
(...saaay...is that "u" in the word "vogue" superfluous??? ....naaah, it's just French, huh!)

Sadly, that concept was never moved for production, instead, Alfa went with this:

However, Alfa is partnering with Mazda for an Italian bodies Miata - so that might look like the car in your post - super sexy Italian design and Japanese reliability!

I'm digging the new Fiat 500 with the fold back top. If I lived in a metro area like NYC or Chicago, I'd take one of those before even thinking about a SmartCar. I'm not all that in love with the Mini.
The Alfa 4C is awesome, but I think I'll keep my P-car for a couple years at least.

Yeah John, the Alfa 4C is awesome I suppose...in a "Lotus Elise with an Alfa grill" sort o' way.
(...and yep Sayantsi, I also think its sad that Alfa didn't proceed with a production model of that concept...now THAT one has many of the beautiful body lines which Alfas of old had, doesn't it?!)

Oh yeah, the 8C. Pretty car, and that one does have some classic Alfa lines. But, oooh WEEE! $300K sure is a whole lot o' money for an Alfa Romero. Heck, that's Ferrari territory, and for less than half that price I think I'd go with one of these beauties, a Maserati GranTurismo Convertible here... (...well, that IS if I'd ever win that little thing they call The Lottery, of course)

Its only $300k because the maintenance is included. Without it, its a $20k car

they are all beautiful, and I would take any of them, but if I could get any car, I think an Aston Martin would be it... like this Vanquish

When I was last in Greensboro a couple months or so ago, I took the time to stop in here before I came home: http://www.foreigncarsitalia.comThe Astons and Masers were both much more attractive than any of the 10 - 15 Ferraris they had on the floor, and the paintwork on the Ferraris looked atrocious in comparison. Top gear has done several segments featuring Astons, and they have all been great except for the lack of power and the reputation Aston has for unreliability even in the UK. I wasn't aware of it, but Aston engines are actually retuned Jag units, from what I've been told. Don't care though, there's just something about an Aston that says "cool, controlled, and sophisticated."

My first car was a 59 Fiat 600 (suicide doors) and my second was a 72 Fiat 124 Spyder. I had-em both for awhile. I never thought Fiat would return to the USA in my lifetime.
I tested a 2012 500 Sport. It was fun to drive, & a surprisingly decent hiway cruiser, but seriously lacking power.

Dwight, that is certainly a beaut. It even sounds better than a Ferrari (deeper growl), in my honest opinion, even though it is my understanding that they share engines.
I always loved the pre-80's Maseratis and this model put them back on the(my) radar (including the Quattreporte version).

Too rich for my blood. I have an absolutely gorgeous 1996 BMW 328i I paid $6000 for. I spent another $1000 on a paint job (red naturally) and $300 for new seat covers. For $7300 it looks like it just rolled off the show room.
It runs like new.
I own a $45,000 sports sedan. I just had to wait until maturity to redeem it.

The VW GTI, or the Jetta GLI is a much better option than this Dart. A fantastic all around car, sweet performance, comfort and refinement, why waste $$$ on a FIAT(Fix It Again Tony)?

Just over in Italy and saw lots of Alfas, like the women and Gondolas they have nice lines. In Munich went to the BMW museum now there is a treat for the eye.

I'm driving my '91 Alfa 164S back and forth to school right now, blew the ring and pinion out of my Jeep. Fair mileage as long as you stay out of the powerband, or under 3000 RPM, over that, stop and buy some more Premium gas.

My wife drove a Fiat 500 150 miles each way to a meeting today. She said its a local run around town car. Too noisy for sustained high speed driving. It was a rental. Then again she owns a Camry so maybe she is spoiled by the quiet of her car.
I agree on the Aston as my #1 pick.
