As a observer from down under I would like to compliment the grasp of the english language that members from the USA have whilst under the influence so to speak. Down this way we would be hard pressed to turn a computer on and probably go arse over kite trying to sit on the chair!!!!!

The US pints are smaller, but the contents are different as well. The strongest commercial product called beer in the US makes Twoheys Old (and most other Aussie beers) seem like the 180 rum we used to get in Germany.

Really....I thought size measurements in the USofA were substantially bigger and considerably far superior than the rest of the world. I never realized a pint in the western hemisphere had limitations compared to pints throughout the rest of the world.....

Actually the US gallon is only 83% of the rest of the world (UK) gallon, so if the rest of the world drinks 8 pints, then you yankees have to drink 9 1/2 just to keep up the volume. 
for what it's worth.
P.S. and thats why also we get better fuel consumption figures

With the exception of the UK, none of the 19 countries I have been in during the past 20 years actually use gallons. The last time I filled up I paid 145 yen to the LITER (or litre). Which brings me back to the original joke...a liter is a liter as a pint is a pint as an ounce is an ounce regardless on what plot of land....nevermind
