I posted a while back that I thought the bike was running on one cyl.I just pulled the carbs so I could take a look see and maybe clean the jets or whatever. Beneath each carb is a brass allen screw that threads horizontally into it's housing for lack of the correct term. One is completely screwed in tight and the other is backed out a few threads. It's been a few years since I rejetted for all the mods I made so I'm not sure what these are and if they should be screwed in equal amounts.

Sounds like you're speaking about the mix screws. Typically 2 1/4, 2 1/2 turns out, should be same on both sides, close anyway, if you need to go more than 3 turns may need to go up one on pilot jet size. If you're only running on one side could be bad plug, wire, coil, maybe (and I might be wrong) possibly CDI. I'd try swapping the plug wires around to see if it changes sides. Maybe some of the "Old Guys" will offer some more wisdom.

Disconnect the sparkplug on the side not to be adjusted and ground it. Then adjust the idle up just enough for the bike to stay running. Screw the mixture screw in until the engine starts to run rough then back out until it starts to run rough again counting the number of turns between the 2 points. The correct setting is 1/2 way between the 2 points.Repeat for the other side.
I took this quote from "The_Dogg33" (Ian) from another post when I was working on mine. Not sure if he's one of the really "Old Guys" I was speaking of but either way he's still a perty smart feller.

Sounds like he is referring to the bowl drain screws, one tightens down flush and the other protudes and almost looks to be loose a few threads.
Doesn't solve the problem of only running on one cylinder but won't adjust his mixture lol.

LOL, at first I was thinking that too, but I haven't found those to made of brass.
Once you get her figured out you may want to go ahead and sync them also.

Mine aren't brass but they have a brass color to them I was trying to put a picture up but I have trouble with it for some reason.

Coils are common you could ohm them out if you suspect them or you could swap them from side to side.
I was doing some diagnosing recently and Triumph told me that across the terminals should read .530 ohms +/- .1 when cold .730 or higher when hot

Yep that's the bowl drain screw. Not the idle screw, which is accessed from the underside of the carbs. Again doesn't really solve the one cyl issue but does identify the screw in question. And yes it is normal for one to be set deeper.

Yep, kinda skipped over that word "HORIZONALLY" This might help, btw its not the idle set screw either, that would belocated between both carbs.
