I saw this, of all places, on the Triumph Thailand forum on Facebook. Pretty scary sh#t if you ask me:

So, that's what happens when Styrofoam deteriorates in our helmets, no wonder it's dangerous.

"This was our weekly ride that we do ever wednesday with our crew, my friend was recording with his go pro and i got the footage from him, we were going for our ride on the highway and there was this truck hauling a trailer with boxes of styra foam and they wernt strapped down, 1 box flew out and one member (250) couldnt dodge it hit the box and went down, the other rider (R6) clipped his bike and fell aswell the the ride on the250 is the body on the left and the body on the right side rolling is the r6 rider, also our leader of the crew."

"Both guys were taken to the hospital and were out the next day with some road rash and a few bruises, the 250 was totaled and the r6 was saved cause of the crash cage it had."

Big sheets of anything on the road is dangerous. Luckily those guys were not hurt too bad.

I can't believe some of the comments on that video. They gotta be from a bunch of clueless non-riders that probably have never been on a motorcycle, much less one on the highway.

There's always idiots commenting, can't get away from them.
Looked (to me) like some of the riders hit the brakes when they hit the foam, bad juju. That will make you lose traction (and control) really quickly.

That was very scary and I agree with you Soren, some of those comments were just plain stupid. It's amazing the things people write sitting behind a computer. I believe most would never have the nerve to say those things to someones face.

I was shocked to see that last car go right through the accident and not even stop. But then again people's actions or inactions are beyond my comprehension sometimes these days.

I too am glad no one was seriously hurt.

Looked more like EPS(Expanded Polystyrene aka Bead Board, white in color), versus StyroFoam, which is XPS(Extruded Polystyrene, Blue in color for Dow, Pink for OC FoamulaR, Yellow for CertaFoam, or Green for Pactiv).

What gets me riled up are the criminally negligent morons who don't secure their loads. Its so freakin common, you see it nearly every day. They should be charged with attempted manslaughter. Most never stop when they lose their load which compounds their culpability.
