Don't feel too bad.. when it rains around here, I can't ride the bike even if I wanted to. My driveway consists of a 1/4 mile dirt road through the woods which tends to puddle up and turn into a mud bog in places. I usually have to wait a few days for it to dry out before I can get the Speedy on the road.

I did get impatient once.. and tried to steer around the larger puddles. Unfortunately, the edges of them puddles are pretty darn slick and I wound up having the tires slide out from under me. The bike and I got a nice mud bath, and it took me about 20 minutes to get her unstuck from the muck, so I have refrained from attempting a repeat performance ever since

I don't know about down where you are, but up here we have been getting some pretty heavy rain almost every day for the past few weeks. Issac ain't helping that situation none either, and the forecast calls for a ton more over the next few days. But at least it's just rain.

Cheers,
Brad

Sometimes "wimp out" is a brilliant call.

You had a dirt road?
We used to have to walk 2 miles across metal spikes, barefoot,
carrying our bikes on our back, just to GET to the dirt road.
But you try & tell that to kids today, & they just won't believe you...
