There is a NICE article in last months Motorcycle Consumer News discussing TuneECU. We are in luck owning Triumphs, fully supported, several maps available, and free. I do have some dumb q:'s I hope someone can give me some guidance on though.

Where to connect the USB on the the motorcycle?

Is resetting the TPS as simple as choosing "ECU Reset TPS" in the software, and letting the bike idle until the indicator turns green?

web page

Where are the throttle body adjusters on a 2009 EFI America?

The TuneECU web site has a dozen or so maps for Speedmasters and Americas, but I did not see any of them labelled or described for what setup or configuration that they are for. Suggestions?

My main goal is to balance the throttle bodies, but resetting the TPS seems like a good idea and coldl not hurt as well. I do not have any performance isssues, other than some handle bar vibration I'd like to resolve, but for the cost of a cable, this seems like a no brainer rather than seek dealer assistance.

USB connector is on the computer, the ODB II plug of the motorcycle is under the seat. It should be secured / stuck on a holder that is formed into the top of the air box.

TPS is fairly straight forward, just READ the TuneECU documentation several times before doing it.

Throttle body adjustment is just like carb sync, screw is between the fake carbs / throttle bodies. The computer display is MUCH easier than using a manometer.

There is only one custom tune for the America / Speedmaster on the custom page. All the other tunes are just variations for Triumph stock exhaust or TORs and different ethanol blends I think.

*In the hands of an experienced tuner TuneECU can do wonderful things!

Marcellus, just checking in. Have you installed TuneECU on your pc? Ordered a cable? Checked the throttle body balance? It can be a good tool for the EFI machines.
