My setup... open cocktail shakers no baffles. KN pods, AI removed. I have ridden this way for years with no problems. Can't remembered what jets I have. I went out the other day and about a mile from the house I fouled a plug. I made it home and changed the plugs. Took a ride around the corner, stopped the bike and restarted with a bang out of the exhaust(this has happened prior to the first fouling). The plugs fouled again after the bang. I have no idea what is causing this. I'm not a motor guy so please help. What am I looking at here guys?

The bike is clearly running rich; some carbed 865's with pods tend to run very rich at idle due to decreased intake velocity...however, if this is a very recent issue, then something else has to be going on...I suggest that you start with the fuel level & pilot fuel screw settings.

Both plugs fouled? Maybe a tank of duff gasoline; I'd be tempted to drain the tank and run some fresh fuel with some Seafoam or another cleaner and a set of new plugs as a start. That would at least eliminate or confirm the fuel chain. Does the battery have a decent charge?

fouled plugs? That's crazy, I still have the stock plugs in my 04 that came in it from the factory.Same with Wendys 04. Must be something going on could be what Ken suggests but definately something. Is it fouled from too much fuel? Not oil fouled?

Yea, what Ian said, what does the fouling look like? Oily or wet from fuel?

Maybe a bad plug wire instead, have you looked?

Hello.. A spark plug is considered fouled when the insulator nose at the firing tip becomes coated with a foreign substance such as fuel, oil or carbon. This coating makes it easier for the voltage to follow along the insulator nose, leach back down into the metal shell and ground out rather than bridging the gap and firing normally. _________________________________ Have a look at: nylon zip ties | threaded standoffs
