Okay someone had to do it or not. Whether you love or hate the Olympics it's a reality for a couple of weeks. I enjoyed watching Kimberly Rhode win the gold in women's skeet shooting. I enjoyed weightlifting, swimming, rowing and I like track and field which will be coming up. What's your favorite and do you got the fever?

I love rowing. I rowed in University and briefly thought about trying to see how far I could take it, then I realised that an education was a much surer bet.

I gotta agree, this is kind of a lame competition. I know, it's harder than it looks, but still....

Thats what a good Coxswain is for. The mens eight was a great race today Silver is OK. Trampoline is close to home as my daughter used to beat both women on the team but bailed when the tricks had her head graizing the ceilling.

At this moment in time, my favourite event is the closing ceremony, bring it on.
The TV broadcast we are getting served up down here is woeful. Morning show host commenting on what they know not, interviewing past olympians, putting down our athletes for not winning gold, showing bits and pieces only of sports that we are involved in.
Would love to see some of the events that are not considered part of our "Aussie sporting culture".
I'm over it........

We're watching or recording most of the games that way I can fast forward through some of it. Fortunately I missed the power walking.
I really like the beach volleyball, men and women and the swimming and gymnastics.

When its over, and I stop hearing folks going gaga over it.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Nope, I don't think she's playin' in the closing ceremony, Chad. They're only usin' British acts, ya know.
(...and she's American...and "born that way")
