Hello everyone...new to this forum...04 America...can anyone reccomend a decent motorcycle cover...I do not have the luxury of indoor storage, outdoor bike 365 days a year...the elements are tough here on Nantucket Island...need something that will hold up to wind , moisture, and be fairly UV resistant haven't found a cover yet that hasn't turned to junk in about a year...it would also be helpful if it really had some heat resistant panels near the pipes...I've ruined a few that way...I willing to pay more for something that'll last a while...any suggestions?

Depends on what space you have or off road area . Weather a bike shed is something that might work or something like this one in the link . Maybe this one is a bit small tho.

As you have had a few types already might be worth getting a small wooden shed if you have the space. atb geoff

Unfortunately space is a big cocern I only rent a small cottage that has a tiny backyard common with another cottage the only space I have is a small area in the driveway in front of my four wheel conveyance...but thanks though!

So happy I got another one when the first one was stolen

I've the large size as shown, but if you've got a windscreen you'd probably be better off with XL

Try E_Z tour M/C covers.. been using their stuff for yrs, on my BMW's and Ducati's.. sun, rain, UV, doesn't matter.. they sell differ sizes for differ bikes and shapes...

Good luck with a bike on Nantucket. 10 years ago I moved to Cape Cod with a 6 month old America. I had to keep it outside for 2 months. The chrome got trashed, especially the headers and front wheel. Since then, its been kept in a garage year round. But due to an accident last fall, I replaced the front wheel. Even in the garage, it is starting to get some surface rust on the chrome.

This climate is just hell on bikes.

Thanks for the tips guys...have something to work on...and Ted...the only way I control rust is that every few weeks I spray Tri-Flow on everything but the brake rotors...it smokess like a mother when you first start it up and the bike doesn't always look its' prettiest but it keeps the rust monster from winning...I know other people who do the same thing with Lemon Pledge...

The thing about those friggin' covers is they tend to trap moisture and the bike can't actually breath. It's not easy without an actual roof overhead.
