My '08 America

Just finished installing light bar, highway bar, replaced the CDI and had the seat redone by Sargent. The seat is much more comfortable, hopefully I can endure the long rides.

I love how the white on the seats pull the tank and tires all together for a real complete look. Very nice!

Thanks! That was the idea with the seat. Sargent matched the materials to the tank ivory and gold trim. The bonus was that it was much cheaper than going with a Corbin or other aftermarket seat, and I got a customization to boot.

NICE bike!

What's with the personalized tag? Does it just have a "0"!??

I thought you HAD to have six or seven letters/numbers???

I actually modified the photo to take out my license number. It's all part of the witness protection program. I left the zero for fun.

That is freaking beautiful. The White sets off the bike perfectly, I have always known that whitewalls would add to any Trumpet with a White second color but that seat is striking.

Ride like you mean it.

Thanks all for the compliments. I am happy with the bike and very grateful to have it.

And thanks to this forum, which has helped me tremendously with technical issues (cdi unit) and with the know-how to make the adjustments for the whitewalls.

If anybody comes down for Daytona (or any other reason) contact me, I am just down the road!

Carl your bike is absolutely gorgeous! I love the combination of all of the elements.

Which tires did you go with? I don't know if I'm search impaired but I can't find the discussion about required mods to make them work. Can you walk me through it or link to the thread if it's been covered already?

Once again--Very tasty & looks great!

Thanks!

John,

The whitewalls I got are:

Front - Dunlop K177
Rear - Dunlop K555

I think this may be the only option these days. The exact fit sizes I think are no longer sold. The rear is the same but the front is larger than the stock tire so requires bracket spacers for the front fender. The guidance for making the spacers was posted by Keith:

Front fender extension of 120 series tires

Good luck!

I need tires and I've always kind of liked the WW's. Seeing your bike has me inspired. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Tom,

I don't know what year your bike is, but there are two different stock pillons for our bikes. His is the newer style, which IS wider then the older style (like what came stock on my '05).

Peace.

They redid the driver seat padding. The stock seat was not cutting it. It is definately more comfortable, the ultimate test will be how well it (I) does on a long ride.

What a beauty! You've really done it over well & I love the overall color scheme of W/W, w/ White & Blue throughout. I bet it makes everybody you ride past just drop a jaw!

And I thought Black was my favorite color....

Both styles use the same base plate. I modded mine to the newer, wider style when I picked up a seat with a broken pan from a member, then transferred the foam and cover to my '06 base.

Sargents does good work. They did a diamond pleat King and Queen for me 30+ years ago.

Henri, I installed the Triumph light bar for 2011 and up models. Only issue was rewiring the lights from the handlebars to the light bar. More info here Light bar

Greg, you can see another side shot of the bike at this location On center stand

Hey man, love the bike. That was the stock color of my bike too. Then I sanded all that pretty brand new paint off, haha. You have a good eye and these bikes have so many different looks. Love it!
