This film has been out over a month but has not made it to my area. When the say limited distribution I guess they really mean it.

It's a great movie. I'll be buying it for sure. From what I hear some of his records still stand today.

Hey Rod
I didn't see it but there was a good bit on M&M about Daytona.
I only put it on on-spec and got a good section about a vintage bike auction.
The guy was concentrating on BSAs and Triumphs.
Very interesting.

As for the Fastest Indian, I heard a clip on a film review program on the radio.
Anthony Hopkins' accent sounded South African not New Zealand!!!

I think he's a good actor but his accents are a bit iffy.
On a par with Kevin Costner!
I call him 'the man of a thousand voices' - cause he can only do one accent!!!

Yes, but most Americans can't tell the difference. I can tell a slight difference only because I work with a guy from South Africa and a couple guys from England. However the one guy from England's accent sounds a lot like the friend's accent I had in high school that was from South Africa.

Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Costner aren't even on the same planet much less on par with each other. Absolutley no comparrison at all between the two. Anthony Hopkins can act and does it quite well.

Aint that the truth. Ive been here 13 years and people still ask me if im from Australia. That Crocodile Dundee fellow has a lot to answer for.

Oh absolutely. In fact, i think thats a bit of an understatement. I think he will go down as one of the best actors of his time.

It's here in Grand Junction (of all places), at a commerical (non-art house) theater. Will try and catch it this weekend or next.

You didn't read it all in the context it was meant.
It says they both have the same ability of NOT being able to do other accents.

Yes, you are right, I read it wrong. It is very true, Kevin Costner can't really do much of anything.

True! I've a British neighbor, an Australian dental hygienist, had a South African boss years back. They all sound the same to me. Of course the same is somewhat true of our own variety of regional accents. I can place Southerners, Down Easters, East Coasters etc, but can not pinpoint where they're from like someone from the region could.
Now then in the West, it's obvious where many of the natives were raised by their accents
.
And for you non-U.S. folk out there, the most familiar U.S. (non)accent (the one that most of the talking heads have) is from the Midwest U.S.
