Just put a new Commander 2 Michelin on the rear of my America. Haven't ridden enough for a real review yet, but so far very impressed. Will update after some more miles.

I installed one on my bike today. 30,300 miles. I took of the IRC WildFlare that had barely over 4000 miles, it might have lasted another 2. Not impressed with that one. Hopefully the Michelin gives me 4 times the mileage. Got a good price on the tire from my Triumph dealer ($145) and installed it myself.

I put a Commander on 2 weeks ago, may have 200 miles on it. Time will tell...
It is a good looking tire, and took hardly any weight to balance it - always a good sign of high quality in a tire, even if it is MADE in THAILAND.
I had a good bank run in the rain on it last week. 65 miles there and back, and I don't slow down in the rain on the highway.
I creep around slow and easy, real tentative in the rain, on surface streets, but on the highway? Good tires should be sure-footed at speed....these seem to be as good as the Metzler was.

So the tire is better matched up with your bike, which was also made in Thailand.

I noticed that too, I had it on the truing stand and finally decided that 1 quarter ounce weight (7 grams) was good, and probably could have gotten by without any. The only problem was that it didn't come with a dot on the sidewall to line up with the valve stem
