There's a recent update to this story, Mac. According to Miami Police, the perp has now been identified as Elmer Donner IV, who had just moved to Florida from the high country of the California Sierra Nevada mountains. (...now, you don't suppose...naaaah, it COULDN'T be, now could IT?!)

Whether he was dead or not, I was told by a cop buddy of mine that they couldn't stop the guy by shooting him in the body; he kept coming. Only when they shot him in the head did he stop.

News came out today from the Miami coroner that the face eater did not have any bath salts in his system--only a small amount of pot. I don't know about you, but all the potheads I've ever known have always been pretty mellow. So either something is up, or that was one bad case of the munchies.
This news of no bath salts means that the Zombie Apocalypse is back on. Lock and load gentlemen.

During the last presidential campaign John Doe was giving a speech in Asheville in late October. His 'advance' people didn't do their homework. They had set Mr. Doehad had a podium set up on Heywood Street in front of the Civic Center. The place and time they selected were spectacular in their ineptitude. About 2 minutes into his spiel John found himself lf fully engulfed by Asheville's annual Zombie Walk. They had placed themselves directly in the path of an irresistible mob of the undead. Smokey, I'm not a progressive, as defined now days, and I like Mrs. Palin, she has never hurt anyone, but, I think it would be funny for her to give an address in the middle of a zombie parade. The advance team was questionable, but they probably thought they would insure local coverage. A U-Tube vid would be a hoot, regardless of affiliation. I'm a partisan and I say, "No Foul".
