Fantastic! If I didn't know any better I'd think I was looking at a vintage bike. What a difference that headlight makes!!!

Gotta say one of the top custom BAs EVER around here just keeps lookin' better and better there, Dennis! So, that looks like an old BMW /2 or maybe early Ducati Single headlight unit there. Am I right?
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

It does look like my BMW headlight but the speedo opening is way too big.

Thanks guys for the your comments...I have been collecting parts to do this for over a year. When I thought I had what I needed I began the process....but then the problems began...some parts were not available any longer...I searched and searched...and then the parts were found and ended being 40 miles away...( got to get lucky sometimes! ) a little paint by my painter and "TA-- DA" I'm happy it turned out this good and makes the bike look more vintage.. I will get some better pictures up soon with some close ups and you can see if you can figure it out ??

I'm with all the above, definitely looks No1, pity the factory hadn't thought of it first though. And isn't it time to get some riding done? only got 975 on the clock.

Dennis, you're bike is hands down the coolest bike on this forum. There are others too that are badass but this bike just keeps killing me every time you do something. Just when I think it can't get better...it does. Outstanding!

That's friggin sweet!
Are you referring to the Team Triumph open house in Janesville? If so you should definitely stop by the Midwest rally in July (near La Crosse) I would love to see that work of art in person.

Fair enough. I am thinking about doing that to mine too. I have been toying with that idea for quite some time but never found a headlight I liked that I could use the original speedo.

okay okay.... I started with a 1999 victory bucket. I drilled the mounting bracket rivits out and welded all the holes shut. I redrilled the mounting hole to match the factory holes in the triumph lower triple clamp. I then sent it out to chrome.Next I drilled the holes needed to run the speedo cable and trip reset. I had my painter do the bucket and lucky for me found the "guts" and outside trim ring nos off a 2003.I ran the bar wiring inside the bars to clean things up some more and still working on a plate that mounts to the upper triple clamp down to the back of bucket. This will clean up things a bit more then I will be satisfied. It feels great to look at while riding and gives it a great old school look...

It's an early Victory unit...of course!!! I had forgotten that those early Victory headlight buckets also held the speedos. Once again Dennis, your customizing ideas are superb in taste and style, and the workmanship is first rate!

That is really cool. That is crazy that parts for a 99 Victory headlight are not available!
