Wade says in his classified ad for an air box, "It's a Helmholtz Resonator ya know."

I hadn't thought about it that way, but OK, is it really an intentional resonator or just a way to feed two carbs through one filter?

Or might it have something to do with reducing the Db level to meet gumbnt limits? Or a way to cool the underside of the seat by sucking in air there?

My inquiring mind wants to know. Is there an actual design function in that big box behind those cheese graters?

Hmmmm..., does it only cabulate on older bikes, like my 02, or will it fit any of the newer models too? If it makes an America faster, I might need one to keep up with Chris and Dave on the way to the rally.
