Hi guys. Today I had a new front tire installed on my 03 BA. 130/70 Metzeler. The mechanic told me the tire is too wide for the rim and I had to talk him into installing it. His argument was that when the beads are squeezed together on the narrow rim the tread contact area is reduced. I can picture what he's saying but I can't see it making much difference. What do you guys think? I know a lot of you run that tire and like it.
