Ok, WTF. I can't get the bike to go into neutral very easily. I have to sit there and F*** with it for what seems like 20 F-ing minutes before it'll finally go. Sometimes I just kill the ign when I park it. I have a heel-toe shifter. Is there some kind of simple adjustment I can make to alleviate this problem?

Maybe try adjusting the shift rod and see if you get more play at the lever. It could be set too tight. That may also cause premature wear, so it's a good idea to check it occasionally anyway.

Try adjusting your chain a little looser. You'd be surprised how much that can help.

where ever you have adjustment, big adjustment at the primary and fine tune at the lever.

I'm with Ian. Most likely cable and its the easiest. Always start with 'easy' and/or 'obvious'

Listen to The Dog, he's been breakin' & fixin' 'em forever. The clutch was my first thought too.

Used to have that problem on other bikes with heel/toe. Try using only the toe part to find neutral coming up from first. Don't know why but it was easier that way for me.
