Bought cocktail shaker package from British customs. Air box elimination kit still on back order for another 3 weeks! I already installed the exhaust but I don't want to re Jett the carbs until I have the air box kit. Will I damage my carbs If I run like this for a while? Need advice. I don't think I can wait 3 weeks to ride...
Thanks

you won't damage your carbs. If you are skinny you might damage your head. How far away is your current jetting from where it should be per the dinq's calculator? Heck, toss the old pipes back on for now.

It's not worth toasting an exhaust valve. Do what that guy with 3 Amercas says

Last thing you want to do is burn a valve for the sake of pipes.

Actually jetting can be done in about an hr or so even if you pull the carbs.

That depends on if you go with your method : of going straight to work on em.
Or you go with Fizzy's method: of cracking open a few beers, gather tools, a few more beers, fire up the grill, more beer, start on carbs, loose a tool, so more beer, realize fires gone out on grill, restart fire, more beer, back to carbs, put meat on grill, more beer, find out you have wrong bleepty bleeping jets, ssay "F" it more beer and a nice steak and put it off til morning.

Ok, Ok I was only joking. Ian Is right again, (as usual). I just changed my pilots in 54 minutes, (timed myself) that was up on stand, removing tank included, all the required steps, and even took time to look at plugs, back together, and all tools put away. I would have preferred the other method but I needed to test her out and had already had dinner as well.
