Yeah newt, this IS amazing alright!
I don't know if you've gotten your latest June 2012 edition of Cycle World magazine yet, but on page 22 is a short interview with Simon Warburton, Triumph's latest Project Manager, and unfortunately the guy pretty much poo-poos the idea of Triumph corporate ever getting involved in racing to any extent at all.

AmyLee, and I just booked tickets for July 27th Red Bull Grand Prix, and Sport/Super time trials on that Friday. We've enjoyed riding over in the past for the day, check out the vendors and curve 4 viewing. Then ride back home after it cools down in the S.J. Valley. Bob

Triumph is backing Jason's team unless something changed after Daytona.

Truly impressive stuff here, Bob! Like newt said earlier, it's amazing that the lone Triumphs almost swept the field in both these races against a sea of machines from Japan Incorporated.

This should be a very interesting race season, like they say, stay tuned for further developments. Jason's interview afterwards shows of someone with something to prove. Go Triumph!
