Anyone know the paint codes and maufacturers for the wonderful Mulberry color? Did not see this info in the tech vault.

From what I understand it is a multi-stage paint that can not really be matched. Several different colors laid out to make one.

I have an old (2004?) Triumph paint colour code list on my home computer. I'll check later tonight and see if it has the information you need.

That'd be cool if it exists. Really like that color and since I'm gonna be doing some painting here soon it'd be great if it was something the local body shop could do.

Have you tried your local Dupont paint retailer (usually local auto parts store)?

Didn't think about that but I'll give it a shot. The guys at the shop that does my work might have something also. I did look through some sample books the last time I changed colors.

Find out what brand they use first and talk to their supplier. Could be Dupont, could be PPG, could be Standox, etc.

EDIT: I would stick with whatever line they're used to spraying.

Think they had a variety of brands they used the last time I checked.

Cool. You just want to make sure they stick with the same family of products and not mix-and-match primers, bases, clears, etc.

Wow Martin, looks like Dave was right. This might be a cool color but more hassle (= expensive) than it's worth. Maybe something 'close enough' is a better option.

I think Martin & FJ have better information. But since I referenced the link earlier, here it is http://www.cyclecolor.com/id32.htm

It predates mulberry, but might be of use to someone else.

did you try asking triumph?
here is anothr option,, get the touch up kit (about 40 bucks) paint some scrap metal or something (prime, and follow kit inst.) then take it to your auto paint store, and have them color match it for a dark red metal flake.

option two: prime,, base coat silver metalic, top coat annodized red. it comes out pretty nice http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1...e=3&theater
and

If someone can make the pics come out it would be great,, never have figured it out.

If your interested, PM me for more detail
