Hey Adey,

Nice to meet the family!

Are you going to pull the emissions stuff? I assume it has a similar set-up. How do you like those tires on pavement? Do the exhaust headers get warm on the right side?

Now.... If you'd post a picture jumping a stone fence you'd really have something . Just kidding, don't do it!

Thanks guys
It really is a great bike and just got me first time I rode it.
If you get the chance, you gotta try one out. And no, NOT mine!!

Hey John

Quote:

Got the dealer to whip off the air injectors before collection. They said it wasn't a warranty issue so they did it for me!
I talked 'em into doing it FREE too!!!!
The sales guy said he couldn't believe the difference with the AI kit installed. Says it breaths MUCH better.
Also got them to fit Triumph off road pipes (which I also got for FREE!!!) which sound FANTASTIC!!!
If I ever work out how to put sound on here, I'll record it.

Quote:

They're great!
Throw it into any corner how you like and it grips great. (Well, the demo one did, I haven't ridden this other than 60 miles of motorway home).

Quote:

Do the exhaust headers get warm on the right side?

Not at all.
Like I say, 60 miles of motorway and neither leathers nor leg have holes in 'em!

Pics coming soon .... !!

Man I'd like to go scramblin' with that thing. I'd enjoy a little air on that bike. And then hang the rear out like a flat tracker on dirt. Sounds like fun.

I also offer you congrads. I am not a bit envious though, not. If I knew where there was a money sorting station around here, I might be able to get one also. I would go you one better though. I would also get a new car. Wait a minute, you did that too, right? So, where is the pic of the new car? TR

I'm not greedy.. 1/2 mill would be fine... Have you seen the prices of houses in Bristol?? It'll also pay for the service on my bike I've been threatening...

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

Yes I have. Location, Location. Location. I think thats the name of the program. Where some yuppy girl and bloke try and find houses for people. Recently they did an episode from Bristol. I was amazed at the prices of the little boxes around that area.

Have i mentioned lately how much i love it here in the US of A.

You'll find that goes for all the boxes all over the country mate!

I truly believe that the country would have been on it's knees were it not for the housing market.
House prices shot up rediculous amounts everywhere meaning the stamp duty to HM Government of Highway Robery went up drastically.
Higher (and continually higher) prices for the houses meant stamp duty was rising.
Buy a house for £200,000 (pay stamp duty) and sell in 6 months for a vast profit (pay second amount of stamp duty for the same bleedin' house!!!).

The house I rent off a mate has gone up £30,000 in the last 18 months (from £120,000 to around £150,000).
New build, 2 Bed mid-terrace of 3 houses (+ cosy garage for the bikes )

House prices are STOOOPID in this country anywhere you go.

Last year I was looking at new houses in Phoenix (most people visit the touristy stuff, I go round building sites!!) and I couldn't believe what you got for $400,000 - $600,000.
It's a lot of money but converted to £ was around £343,000.
That wouldn't buy you a terraced place in London and these were 5 bed, 3 bath detatched with pools.

A house that size over here would be £1m easy ($1.75m).

At the risk of sounding like we don't want you back, you're better off where you are mate!

Not quite - You only pay stamp duty when you buy a house.

The only time that you pay taxes on the sale of the house is if you sell a property that hasn't been your main residence for the 6 months preceeding the sale, where you would get hit for Capital Gains Tax (CGT) on the "profit" you made. (However, in line with this Gov'mints ever grasping ways, there have been rumours that CGT will soon be payable on all "profits", main residence or not)

Course if you die and your estate is over £300k then there are death duties to be paid! ( I'm sure you know estate don't mean a bleedin big country house!)

To get the thread back on track, I know you weren't including me when you said that we couldn't test ride your bike!

ps Put the TBA at the front next time!
