Okay, I'm having mirror issues... When I look in them they break... Not really, the problem is I have swapped out the stock BA bars for a set of 30" wide drag bars and now my mirrors are not wide enough to see anything behind me. If I want to use the mirror now, I have to raise my are up and drop my head down to almost 90 degrees to see anything.
Does anybody know if the Speedy mirror stems are longer than those on the BA? Or can anyone point me at a very long stemmed mirror? I've searched the web and JP Cycles catalog, but haven't found a thing that looks close.

Bar end mirrors on America/Speedy? That might be cool. Anyone tried that?

I have thought about that, I could only find them for 7/8 bars or for a bracket that attaches to the endcap of Kuryakyn grips. The Kuryakyn option would work on the left side, but I want both mirrors and my right mirror would end up turing with the throttle... definately NOT cool.
Does anyone know of bar end mirrors that fit inside 1" bars??

I keep thinking that maybe the stems on the Speedy just might be longer than on the America. I am not a 100% sure. If not I know that most the mirrors from harley come in either short stem or long stem.

Dont know if these are what you are looking for but I got something similar and the heads fit on the OE stems without any trouble.

On the America, you can just see the left hand mirror and the lack of standard mirrors.
These mirrors are quite a bit smaller than standard so a good look over the shoulder is always good practice too.

They work well - just takes a little getting used to looking elsewhere to see behind.
Standard mirrors were great for seeing back, these are better.

Lane splitting takes a little more thought though
Also, I think it's frowned upon in the States, but over here, if you approcah a stationary queue of traffic (say, at lights) you can pull straight to the front.
That is sometimes out of the question too.

I have those VMAx heads on my stems and they do reach out quite a bit further. Plus, because they use the stock stems, there is absolutley no vibration.

Thanks for the tip with the Yama mirrors. Maybe it is the angle, but do the stems on my America look shorter, than the Speedy stems? Soren's pics look like stems extend farther and have a little more angle than mine. Does anybody know for sure if they are the same stem?

The stems for the BA and the SM are the same length. They just appear shorter with the stock round mirrors due to the centered mounting point with the stock ones. I found that the mirrors for the Suzuki cruisers are a much better mirror and are about the same size and shape of the Yamaha ones. The Suzuki stems are shorter and will not mount to the Triumph mounting points, but the heads will bolt directly to the Triumph stems.

Larry, you have a pic of those mirrors? How are they better than the yamaha ones? I am always interested in "better".
