I've got my Garmin GPS mounted on the handlebars and have a power plug, but need to determine which hot wire to tap into. I only want it to work with the key turned on. Can anyoner suggest which wire I should use for my power ?

When I installed heated grips I tapped into the tail light,as it only came on with key and I was able to place wires directly into existing connector without having to splice anything. Yellow and Black Not sure if it would be pratical for you application but it worked for me. There is also an accessory circuit that may work better.

Use tha accessory circuit but add a relay so it's only powered when the key is on. Instructions for wiring that relay set up is in the tech vault.

Yep, listen to Z, I remember now I used a relay also, picked one up at local autoparts store along with an inline fuse and another roll of 18 guage wire, all less than $15.
