these 790s tick? mine always has, not a valve tictictic but sounds like its a push rod or somthing.. i haven't been around another one to compare.

oh ok- i figured. it sounded to uniform to be bad. I just get a "whats that noise?" every once and a while. I always just say "its a triumph" but was second guessing myself just now.
between that - the clutch - my speedo - and my open sprocket. this is the noisyist beast ive owned.

I always got a kick out of how different it sounds when your next to it vs on top of it then being next to it and on top of it with a helmet. Add the FREAK to it and you get a suction sound along with the tick tick. Ive recently added the chatter of FCRs to the mix too  No matter what... it's the sound of freedome!

I utter that phrase quite often as well, but it's usually when I'm bumping it down a hill because the battery died again

My old ones are noisy as are my new ones, I think they would lose some charicter if they were not.

I rode a new Victory touring bike (cannot remember the name) about a month ago, and the engine sounded like it was coming apart. Smooth running bike, but the engine noise made my America sound very sedate.
