Hammarhead's stuff is very cool but I think maybe this one of a kind beats him a little: I've been able to parse that it's a very late 70s OIF 750 single carb with pre OIF side covers and maybe a BSA scrambler seat. The drilled rotors puzzle me but I understand the need for braking and they look the business. It's such a fundamentally great bike I just want it...to park right next to Hammarhead's modern Jack Pine.

Ooooh! Now THAT one is sweet too, Ed!
Yep, I sure wouldn't mind havin' that Pine Hinckley-engined Scrambler AND that custom built Meriden-engined one sittin' next to each other in MY garage also!

Yeah, I've been trying to get him to respond to a pm; I want to copy some of that when I resurrect the 64 this month. The seat, the pipes....

Yeah, that would be very cool!
Hey Ed, ya know what might be even cooler? Take that '64 of yours and maybe go one step further with that idea there and make a replica Steve McQueen 1964 ISDT race bike out of it. What tank does your '64 have? The larger Trophy tank or the smaller Bonneville tank? 'Cause I think McQueen's bike used the larger Trophy tank with the rack on it.
