Some of our equipment at work has LED headlamps. seriously bright.
One of my co-workers, also a rider, found these LED HEADLAMPS

Pretty spendy (about $250) but really bright, and only pull about 3.5 amps on high beam. Thinking about it.........

I'm probable gonna add a single LED super bright lamp down under the lower triple tree this year. I've seen some that are absolutely blinding!

Pretty neat that it's a drop in replacement for H6024.

Does that mean it will just plug and play? Do we need the h4 to h13 adapter?

Do you think the reflector would be biased for right-hand side of the road driving ... And not suitable for use in Australia?

Perhaps an e-mail to the company would (ahem) shed some light on the beam pattern.

Just doing a bit more research and there is some discussion in forums that the polycarbonate lens (which the Truck Lite uses) may yellow in a few years and also liable to get 'sand blasted' by road grit. The consensus was that glass lens are better.

So I found this led headlight with glass lens. Does anyone know if it might fit our bucket? They say it retro fits a PAR56 sealed beam.

Good find Richard.

$550.00 is pretty rich though.

I just found a couple of places that sell them for $380 ish.
The first is a 4wd forum thread that quotes the Chrome shop details where he got his for $375 and others on that thread say they are superior to the Truck-lite LEDs.
Forum page

The second link is for an online store selling for $390. Still expensive but I think I would choose these over the Trucklite for not much less.

That's a bit better
The glass on my OEM headlight is cracked due to a flying stone. That would suck on a $350 lamp.
The polycarbonate would hold up better to impact, but be more vulnerable to scratches................So I guess it's pick your poison

I haven't noticed any yellowing on the lenses of the four year old equipment (Volvos) that we have.

I suspect that yellowing would be more of an issue with the heat from halogen bulbs ... Not a problem with the LED.

The other diff is that the Speaker lamps have aluminum housing vs plastic in the Trucklite.
