I have some trips coming up this month, so thought I had better re-proof my WILLIE and MAX Saddlebags. They are over 5 years old now, and have put up with quite a bit of abuse - mostly over-stuffing/over-loading. I had found that a good spraying of silicone (Kiwi Camp Dry) revitalizes the synthetic leather, and makes it like new again....

Well, as my W&M Standard Touring bags rub some on the rear suspenders, especially when stuffed, I had found holes worn through the outside covers a year or so ago, not all the way through the bags, but just wearing the outside ....I had reinforced the inside with Duct Tape, and they've been fine....nothing showed, everything stayed dry and protected.

But today, I found the seam of one bag worn through/undone around that bottom front inside cover, and rather than taking them to the local bookmaker for repair, I just bought another pair. $125.00, free shipping, MotorcycleSuperstore.com.

I'll transfer my EasyBrackets from the old to the new, and consider it money well spent. For the price, and the size of these bags (14"Wx13"Tx5.5"Deep), I highly recommend them. No way could I ask W&M to warrant the bags even with their "Life-of-the-Biker" guarantee, after the abuse these things took. Even if they would, that just wouldn't be right. I'm a happy camper.

Sounds like you got your moneys worth out of the first set.
