After over 26,000 miles I finally got around to replacing the chain and sprockets on the America. I have had the chain kit since I bought the 07 Tiger in March 08. At the time Triumph was giving $1000 worth of accessories when you buy a new bike, and I got the chain kit for the America as part of the deal. I could have continued on with the old chain, but I figured I better install the new one before it gets to old.
Thanks to Moe for the loan of the tools..........

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Congrats. I still need to dig into Tigger's innards and get that at that air filter, but I just cannot get motivated. Maybe tomorrow....

The air filter on the Tiger is a pain to get to. Just getting the tank off is a pain.
If you replace the air filter just remember to remove the very small gasket from the air filter and transfer it to the new filter. I learned this the hard way.
I will probably need to change the Tiger's chain and sprockets later this year, since I have just over 20,000 miles on it.

26,000 miles is an awesome run for chain and sprockets. I betcha you'll notice a performance gain.
Live to love, love to live.
