Riding in one position gets old on long rides. I was wondering what the long term opinions are for the mid mount foot pegs from Fast Eddie's. The budget is tight and didn't want to make an expensive mistake. Opinions would be greatly appreciated (comfort, quality etc).
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

I think you answered your own question on the comfort. Just changing position to anything else eases the pain. You can also lift yourself off the seat with the mid pegs.
As far as quality: I will bet you my paycheck, if Eddie sells them they are of good quality or he wouldn't.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

See this not a true mid-mount : http://www.triumphrat.net/cruisers-america-speedmaster/199759-footpeg-relocation-brackets.htmlThey are similar to the Norman Hyde..contact him to see what he will charge for them If you look on page 3 that is a picture of my bike with the Norman Hyde set up...so you can get an idea of the system

Thanks guys. I'm running floorboards so the pegs on the triumphrat site won't work. May have to save up for Fast Eddie's pegs.

I think Dwight's plans are in the Tech Vault, aren't they? Probably could be replicated somewhat inexpensively. Recently I posted a picture in another thread of Bollox with the Newspeedmaster brackets that use the passenger peg mounts and move the peg forward. I love these brackets.

Yes, but I thought there were actual plans drawn up. But those are definitely the brackets I was referencing.

eddieb, I had these made. Not sure if this is the kind of thing your looking for. I wanted to keep the rear passenger pegs and add some mid / rear pegs for highway use. I cut out a template. Had a local welder cut them out of better metal. Had them powder coated. Got the extra clevis & pegs from Pinwall. All for about $125. Makes a long day on the America much easier to do.
09 America, some modifications

That looks good MattyMo. I've got a friend who is handy at welding. Perhaps we can copy that.
